iAM Fighting Back

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19

Marshall Craig is one of the nicest guys you could meet and a well known character of Ballymoney.

What’s perhaps not known about Marshall is the adversity he has had to come through in life.

3 and a half years ago Marshall narrowly escaped paralysis in a bicycle crash, rendering him in a full body cast and immobilising him for 13 weeks. He was millimetres away from life wheelchair bound.

In May 2018, Marshall’s wife Trudi experienced a stroke at the age of just 45. Losing the ability to walk and move and hospitalising her for 5 weeks, and still now she has a long period of rehab ahead of her.

Trudi is on the long journey back from her illness and Marshall is regularly coaching Judo and competing in Iron Man events.

The Project will be called – iAM Fighting Back.

Marshall will present on how he overcame his adversity and the mindset he needed. He will also discuss how he draws strength from Trudi and how important a support network is.

After the presentation, we will also be physically training and learning self defence techniques based on judo to build personal confidence.

We will then enjoy coffee and cake together from Nico’s to meet new people, open our Circle and share experiences.

THIS PROJECT IS FREE AND IS FUNDED BY THE IAM PROJECT THROUGH SALES OF OUR ITEMS. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP, CLICK HERE TO FIND OUT MORE.

Registration is via the iAM Project Facebook page and the event is open to over 18’s who are physically well enough to take part in the self-defence class.
